What first looked like a hokey re-skin of Wii Sports Boxing has since become one of the system's most anticipated games.

This is according to Citigroup, Inc., which says the Switch is ultimately too bulky for children to use easily (via Bloomberg).

Nintendo has recently offered concrete numbers about how strong their sales were for the latest "Legend of Zelda" game and the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo has announced that the new and highly anticipated Splatoon 2 game will be launching on their new Switch console in a few months time on July 21st, 2017.

Of course, that's not without some help.

A lot of that success can be attributed to "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" game, which the company claims to have sold over 1.3 million units.

Yes, you read that right. The game sold 925,000 units on the Switch and 460,000 units on Wii U, meaning that it actually sold more Switch copies than their were Switch consoles. However, this could also be a fallout of questionable sales data or the fact that Switch had a prolonged shortage of retail units since launch. "Breath of the Wild" is now the fastest-selling Nintendo launch game of all time, and also the fastest-selling "Zelda game of all time, Fortune reported".

Recently, Nintendo had released a press note saying that the Switch was the fastest seller among the consoles sold by the company.

The question is whether these sales will continue, as the Wii U petered out fairly fast. It even shows in Nintendo's marketing efforts for the Switch, promoting the console during this year's Super Bowl and hosting demo events across the country. While that might sound like good news especially for the Nintendo Switch players, some fans are left feeling confuse as to why the developer choose to do that.

Nintendo has finally revealed numbers for the Nintendo Switch - the fastest selling console in Nintendo history. Most of the reviews posted for the Nintendo Switch have been positive, though there have been some problems occasionally.

Thoughts about the Switch's sales figures?
