The trailer has finally been released for Marvel's third film in the Asgardian franchise, directed by New Zealand's Taika Waititi. "Thor: Ragnarok" thunders into UK Cinemas this October'.

In the first teaser-trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, our Asgardian hero isn't in the best shape, right from the start.

Ragnarok seems to simply be a great time, and that's certainly implied with the choice of music and title treatments in this teaser trailer.

"I know what you're thinking: 'How did this happen?'" Thor tells viewers.

Asgard is faced with its biggest threat yet as Hela, the Goddess of Death aims to burn the city to the ground in the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok. Benedict Cumberbatch will also have a cameo as Doctor Strange, and our favs, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston are back as Heimdall, Odin, and the trickster Loki respectively.

Thor: Ragnarok, directed by Taika Waititi, is due in theaters on November 3.

In the teaser, we see Thor getting imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer.

The big tease is the gladiator match between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and The Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).

Set to Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song", the clip introduces most of a new cast members including Cate Blanchett's ruthless villain Hela, Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie and Jeff Goldblum's Grandmaster.

Most importantly, Thor's trademark flowing blond locks are chopped off, leaving him looking rough and ready to face the new world he has been presented with.
