After a long wait, Life is unusual developer Dontnod Entertainment has finally confirmed a new season of the game.

Life Is Strange was originally released in 2015 and won the BAFTA Games Award for Best Story. It is likely that the game will feature an eposidic release like the first game. In Life Is Strange the player has the power to affect the game's narrative and also change the course of history itself.

This news validates several rumours about a second season of Life is unusual being in the works, with Dontnod's co-founder Alain Damaiso previously stating that he would "participate in Life is odd 2" once Square Enix gave them the greenlight. For now, the devs note that the game will not be shown at E3 this year, but asks for patience as it will reveal information when it's ready. To date, Life is odd has sold over 3m copies, although the vast majority of these are likely to be digital rather than physical.

There are no other details for now, including whether the original Life is Strange's cast will return. "You helped spread positive words about our game and have continually kept the world interested in what happens next".
