Jordanian man killed by Israeli police after 'stabbing' incident

"The terrorist rushed toward him, whipped out a knife that he had in his possession, stormed him and began stabbing him". Ten seconds of security camera footage released by the police appeared to show a man, knife in hand, lunging toward a policeman falling backwards onto the ground, then jumping on him while wielding the knife and making stabbing motions.

The Jordanian Government condmened the killing of their citizen.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office responded to Tillerson's statement saying: "Not only will the transfer of the embassy not harm the peace process, but quite the opposite".

Since Trump's inauguration on January 20, there's been a lack of clarity and conflicting reports on whether the right-wing firebrand is going to make good on the promise and his Middle East peace policy has been in flux. Such attacks, of which there are hundreds in Israel recognize the actions of individuals, but accused the Palestinian authorities, groups and the media controlled by them in fomenting radicalism. Eye witnesses added that another officer shot the Jordanian man in the head while he was lying on the ground.

Israel says the violence is fueled by a Palestinian campaign of incitement.

On Friday, Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian youth and wounded more than 10 others during clashes in the occupied West Bank. Peace talks between the sides broke down in 2014.

The three officials agreed that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict constitutes the basis of turbulence in the region, noting that solving it through negotiations that ensure security and peace for both Palestinians and Israelis is a prerequisite to achieving regional stability.
