The Ford Focus RS is pretty sweet right out of the box. Ford Performance has not only produced a victor, it has recognized the interest from fans worldwide. With that output heading to the pavement through all four wheels, the Focus RS can sprint from a standstill to 60 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds.

The final edition RS gets a new Quaife mechanical-slip differential for better torque delivery in low-grip situations.

While Ford is believed to have scrapped its Focus RS500 project, the automaker has unveiled a slightly more capable version of the highly-regarded hot hatch, dubbed the new RS Limited Edition. The limited-slip differential limits engine torque delivered to a particular front wheel that has reduced traction on the road surface, redistributing torque to the wheel with more traction to reduce differences in wheel spin that can hamper acceleration and stability.

Also available in Nitrous Blue, the Limited Edition features black mirror caps, a black roof, a black spoiler, and a host of interior carbon fiber trim pieces.

"To satisfy strong demand for the ever-popular Focus RS, I'm very excited that we're bringing this limited-edition vehicle to North America", said Henry Ford, Ford Performance marketing manager. Now standard are 19-inch premium painted forged alloy wheels with blue RS center caps. It also comes fitted with the RS2 package, which includes leather and suede-trimmed Recaro seats that are heated up front, a heated steering wheel, and voice-activated navigation. The 2018 version of the auto comes finished in the choice of Nitrous Blue or Race Red.

This will be the last auto of the current version of the 2018 Ford Focus RS and it will come with a 0 to 62 miles per hour time of 4.7 seconds. They will be available for order later this year and Ford says that will be the last chance to order the current RS.
