Harry Kane has backed Tottenham Hotspur to shake off their reputation as title chokers and finally win the Premier League next season.

Spurs know they will finish second no matter what happens in their final two games but Mauricio Pochettino will still be keen to add to their record points haul which already stands at 80.

"There are many, many rumours, but I am committed with the club", said Pochettino, who has a contract with Spurs until 2021.

That's ten more than they achieved last season and just 1 short of the total Leicester needed to win the title previous year so it would still be a huge sign of improvement if Spurs could hit the 86 point mark. I've worked with Kane and Alli and they've progressed well as a team.

"I have started a job here and I want to continue it". When I spoke recently about them deserving 100% more than they are getting paid right now, that is not because they are greedy, it is down to their self-worth.

However, Tottenham have been one of the most formidable sides in England's top tier this season, and Pochettino will be looking for ways to further improve his squad ahead of another title bid next term.

Pochettino's revelation will likely leave Tottenham fans fuming, with the majority of supporters expecting the club to compete for the signatures of some of Europe's top talent this season. "We've got the team, we've got the belief, so next season hopefully it's our year".

With two home games left, it could be a long goodbye for Algeria winger Riyad Mahrez, who remains a target for several clubs despite an erratic campaign from last season's PFA Player of the Year. It's true we can not change the table but it's important for us now to try to win, for us to compete.

"There is always going to be speculation because they are good players".
