McCain: Donald Trump's Scandals Have Reached 'Watergate Size and Scale'

"I think we've seen this movie before", McCain said Tuesday. It's a centipede that the shoe continues to drop.

In the memo, Comey reportedly wrote about a conversation during which Trump asked Comey to end an investigation into the actions of his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.

In response to the breaking news story that Trump gave sensitive, highly classified intelligence to the Russians during their visit to the capitol last week, many Republicans have issued stern words against the presidents actions yet seem completely unwilling to do anything in response.

Former White House counsel John Dean said Wednesday he was not sure whether former FBI Director James Comey's memo was proof of obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump, but he noted President Richard Nixon's impeachment offenses in 1974 included interfering with the agency.

"None of us, no matter what our political leanings are, no matter how we feel about Trump, feel this is not good for America", McCain added. "It's not going to be over until every aspect is thoroughly examined and the American people have made a judgment".

The associate, who was not authorized to discuss the matter by name and spoke on condition of anonymity, says Comey is willing to testify about his experience with Trump but wants to do so in public.

"It's pretty clear that Comey will testify".

The chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee says the Trump White House "has got to do something soon to bring itself under control and order". "That's what we need to do now, is get all the information out and move forward". "I have to honestly speak to truth to my Republican friends".

"I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go", Trump said.

Republican Representatives Martha McSally of Tucson; Trent Franks of Glendale; David Schweikert of Scottsdale; Paul Gosar of Flagstaff; and Andy Biggs of Gilbert did not respond to emails seeking comment.

"What's kind of sad about all this is you have such a strong national security team in this most unsafe time", he said.
