In a reply to his critics, Rajinikanth told his fans, "criticism is like a manure".

Claiming himself as a "true" Tamilian for the first time on Friday, actor Rajinikanth, who hinted that he is likely to enter politics, urged his fans to be patient till the "war".

"Get ready for war", Rajinikanth roared to his fans in Chennai. "Money-minded people will be shunned". He also said that the system is corrupted despite the presence of good leaders. He said, "I have my profession, my job". So, go back home and do your work. "When the war starts, we will face it. God is there". "We need to change the system", he said. "Yes, there are people (like) M.K. Stalin, who is a very efficient administrator". Late Cho (Ramaswamy) used to say if given a free rein Stalin will perform well. The film also saw Dr S Ramadoss-founded PMK go up in arms against his on screen smoking. He made mention about Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol Thirumavalavan's contribution for the upliftment of dalits. "They are all there, but the system is affected, isn't it?" the actor asked. Pointing out that questions had been frequently raised whether he was a Tamil, Rajinikanth said, "I am now 67".

'Even though I am from Karnataka, still you have accepted me and you have made me into a Tamil.

"Tamils have given this life to me. Tamizhar Desiya Periyakkam leader P. Maniarasan said 'Rajinikanth is not a Tamil and he was not faithful to Tamil Nadu in the Cauvery row between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka". " Naan pachai Tamizhan (I'm a pure Tamil)".

Tamil Nadu has a history of drawing its political leaders from the world of cinema.

Rajnikanth is 66 years old now and has done more than 150 movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. I may have come here as a Marathi or Kannadiga. "I am happy he called me a good leader". With former chief minister J. Jayalalithaa's demise in December past year and with ailing DMK chief M. Karunanidhi out of action in the last few months, observers have pointed out the political vacuum in the state.

"The AIADMK is a huge banyan tree".

Indications of Rajini's grand entry into politics has made the Bharatiya Janata Party nervous. "We welcome him", he said.

Many political parties, barring AIADMK, had been wooing him.
