On March 10, sonar helped search crews locate Anderson's body and her vehicle in the Missouri River at a park near Parkville. Her death was accidental.

Police Maj. Kevin Freeman says that the officer "acted reasonably".

Police said contributing factors included ethanol, cocaine and amphetamine intoxication.

A North Kansas City police officer had stopped Anderson on January 15, the last night she was seen. Anderson told the officer that she was nearly out of gas.

The officer tells Anderson to pull into the parking lot of a QuikTrip that is ahead of them.

The interaction was captured on the dash camera system of the police vehicle.

At 4:42 a.m. that morning, Anderson texted a friend, "OMG just got pulled over again" - but police said she was likely referring to the stop minutes earlier.

Toni studied marketing at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and, in her spare time, reviewed music festivals, her family said.

"It is terrible", she said.

North Kansas City Police have released dash cam video from a traffic stop they had with Toni Anderson on the night she died.
