WEATHER: Rain chances increase today, decrease for Memorial Day

Expect today to be the pick of the weekend with partly sunny skies and pleasant with temperatures in the 70s, while Monday will feature a cool rain with highs only in the upper 50s to low 60s.

As we move through our Monday night, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies. A few brief showers can't be ruled out completely, but most of us will remain dry this afternoon.

Wednesday|Partly cloudy. Highs in the low 70s and lows in the low 50s.

The National Weather Service said there's chance of rain in the evening.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible before 11 a.m. with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m.

Periods of rain will be with us through most of your Monday.

Tonight|Some clouds early will give way to generally clear conditions overnight. Highs will be similar to yesterday in the low 80s with winds NW 5-10 miles per hour. Lows in the mid 60s. Sunday is looking like another pretty nice day with highs in the upper 70s.

Friday Night.Mostly cloudy. Lows in the upper 60s.

Areas along Interstate 70 could be most affected, Elwell said.

Thursday-Sunday the mix of sun and clouds will continue with a small storm chance everyday. Highs in the low 80s.
