Adele visits London firefighters after tower block blaze

And Adele - who also visited victims a day after the tragic blaze - has continued to show her support, by meeting up with the heroic firefighters for a "cup of tea and a cuddle".

The pop star, who was at the scene of the inferno, which left at least 79 dead, less than 24 hours after it started.

Rob Petty posted the photographs of the singer wearing a summer dress, smiling with the firefighters, on Facebook.

The Hello singer headed to Chelsea Fire Station on 19 June to chat with some of the firemen and women who responded to the catastrophic fire, which engulfed the north Kensington tower block on 13 June and killed more than 80 people.

Petty captioned the images: "Not everyday the wonderfully grounded and caring Adele pops into Chelsea Firestation for a cup of tea and a cuddle".

Eyewitness Tom Maughan told the Press Association: "She was so nice".

The Tottenham native was apparently "going around hugging everyone she could", with fans praising the singer's sincerity. So we opened the door to her and then she took her sunglasses off and said: "Hi, I'm Adele". It was about 1am, she came with her husband.

"Just spotted Adele and Simon Konecki visiting the Grenfell Tower, she was dressed in an abaya".

Lily Allen attended a protest which she live-streamed, while Simon Cowell will release a charity single to raise money for the victims.
