Camaraderie at Golden State Warriors is awesome, says Kevin Durant

Steve Kerr is expected to return to the Golden State Warriors' sideline after the team won its second National Basketball Association championship in three seasons under Kerr's direction on Monday night, Warriors general manager Bob Myers confirmed.

One year after their historic comeback, James and the Cavaliers couldn't catch the Golden State Warriors. Oh, there would be more partying, for sure. And that makes for a long summer.

There hasn't been a coaching change in more than a year, which is an incredibly rare occurrence for the league.

Curry, Kevin Durant and their teammates are determined to build a dynasty together - and they might just be well on their way.

Golden State has a cumulative 207-39 record in the last three regular seasons. They finished one victory short of the NBA's first flawless postseason, but bounced back from their Game 4 loss to Cleveland in the NBA Finals with another high-scoring performance.

For James, already a three-times champion, the loss puts him in rare company as only the fourth player to come up short in five NBA Finals.

"And I wrote this a year ago and said it and believed it: The minute he won that championship in Cleveland he was liberated to leave again", Wojnarowski said.

"I'm just excited to do something special", Curry said during the presentation of the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy on Tuesday in Oakland, after his team beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

Kerr can say it was easy, but that's just Kerr being modest.

Kerr once described President Trump as "blowhard" who is "ill-suited" to be president.

"We put in everything we had, our heart, soul and sweat, everything", he said.

Later, he was straightforward and serious: "We were heartbroken last year, but this year was our turn".

Durant, who famously called his mom the "real MVP" when he won the NBA MVP Award in 2014, knew what it felt like to lose a 3-1 lead - and losing to LeBron James. "Some teams wouldn't embrace a guy who came into a situation like ours".

The next time the Warriors had the ball, Curry looked for it. "You've seen his bounce, and it's unbelievable", Thompson said. It's not about who scored what. "So you have a clear sense of what matters when you go through that stuff". Whatever it is, the big-money contract will be a hefty raise from the $12 million he earned on the way to a 16-1 postseason. Ulysses S. Grant played host to the first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Red Stockings, in 1869.

LeBron James has sparked speculation over his future-particularly whether he will remain with the Cleveland Cavaliers-after the team lost the NBA Finals Monday night.

One moment late Monday captured the camaraderie that evolved.

Durant: 'Congrats. Your defense was really good, ' which was random.

Speaking on ESPN's First Take Lacob was asked if the thought had crossed his mind since the Warriors wrapped up the NBA Finals series against Cleveland.

Curry had Durant to complement his game this time, to take some pressure off.

Durant and Curry were always right in the middle, yet they stayed loose and focused by building their own relationship - not to mention shooting skills - through regular shooting contests that were oh so close.

At the start, Curry took a back seat to let KD get comfortable.

That pushed Golden State to add Durant as a free agent last July and the results have been devastating.

"We don't need or want to be talked about", Danny Green once said. "But obviously, as a team, we're going to have a conversation".
