A couple nights ago, King James took a public shot at Golden State Warriors' Draymond Green.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James says he is not the one who created the "superteam" era that has characterized the National Basketball Association over the last decade.

Cleveland Cavaliers player LeBron James and Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green have been sparring publicly since the Warriors' defeated the Cavaliers in Monday's NBA Finals. James posted a photo of Green from the parade on Instagram, and a caption straight out of "The Office". The Warriors, on the other hand, have two three-pointers deemed to be the best of this generation: Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. James had thrown down the gauntlet, making himself a contender for the Outrageous Roasting Hall of Fame. Lastly, there is Draymond Green. This year, Draymond Green returned the favor with a "Quickie" shirt that's created to look like the Quicken Loans logo. We got "em out of here quick". Quickie!. We got them made in Cleveland.

James led the Cavs to the franchise's first championship previous year when they rallied from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Warriors in the NBA Finals.

In his interview with Gold-Onwude, Green conceded of James, "That's definitely my guy". Let's just say these past Finals have not discouraged him.

"I'm petty. I've been waiting for a while coming up with ideas". It was a bit much, though, " Green told NBC Sport.

On the spectrum between good-natured ribbing and remorseless ethering, T-shirts and cookies are pretty benign stuff, and as Green alludes to, he and LeBron are close off the court.

James praised the likes of Kevin Durant, claiming, "he's a talent of his own". In his first year of his second stint with the Cavs, LeBron led a very shorthanded team to their second appearance ever in the National Basketball Association finals, where for a majority of that series with the Warriors, the second best player for the Cavs was a backup point guard by the name of Matthew Dellavedova. What do you say, Michael Scott?

This round is over.

"No", James said when Green's superteam comments were brought up in the episode released Friday. "No".
