Antonio Conte defended Victor Moses as "an honest player" who would not try to cheat a referee after the Nigeria global was shown a second yellow card for diving in Chelsea's 2-1 defeat against Arsenal in Saturday's FA Cup final at Wembley.

The former Werder Bremen defender admitted he had "suffered" this season but was delighted to be able to give his all as Arsenal turned a mediocre campaign into a memorable one by securing a record 13th FA Cup win.

"I am convinced we were hurt by the uncertainty about my future with the players", Wenger said.

The Blues were pegged back when Nigerian winger Victor Moses was shown a second yellow card for diving in the 68 minute.

"They showed strength and unity", Wenger said, "and we played spectacular football again".

"I will speak about his legacy when he stops training", Fabregas said of Wenger.

Wenger, who has been in charge at Arsenal for 21 years, is yet to reveal whether he will sign an extension to the contract that expires at the end of the season.

"I love my job and I love to win".

Now, it appears all the drama will be coming to a close soon with Wenger and Arsenal's board set to meet on Tuesday. Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey was ruled offside but Antony Taylor overruled his assistant's decision and allowed Sanchez's goal.

"Honestly I didn't see the situation", Conte insisted. Arsenal struck back within two minutes, when Ramsey nodded home in the box, with substitute Olivier Giroud providing the assist with virtually his first touch of the ball. I was in great form and it was a shame I didn't start the game.

Antonio Conte came within a whisker of winning the League and Cup double, only for Arsenal to put-paid to his plans, but the Chelsea manager still feels this debut season in England has been a success on the whole.

After 22 years, 717 appearances and countless trophies, Terry has brought down the curtain on his playing career with the Premier League champions.

"It will be very important to analyse this season and our squad for this season, and we reached an incredible target with the players that performed 120 per cent every single player".
