Mbappe's future is set to be one of the most watched sagas of the 2017 summer transfer window after the prolific marksman enjoyed an outstanding breakthrough season under Monaco head coach Leonardo Jardim.

The teenager is contracted until 2019 at the Stade Louis II, but Madrid are among the clubs linked to the forward.

Real Madrid's attempts to win the race to sign Kylian Mbappe could be strengthened after reports claimed they would loan the wonderkid back to Monaco for 12 months if allowed to sign him permanently.

"We have to sort it out, see what happens with the club too, because I'm under contract with the club".

If he is to leave Monaco this summer it is likely to be for a fee in excess of £100m.

"I'm not free. But we will see what happens".

"So no, I think we can go and probably knock this down before even getting into the whole thing about whether Mbappe would want to go to Liverpool and how much he values playing time at this stage of his career and whatever".

Arsenal had seemed the most likely English club to secure the transfer until the Frenchman revealed his "obsession" with winning the Champions League.

"The Champions League is a dream, a competition that everyone wants to win and that only a minority can win - the most important are the titles", Mbappe said, as quoted by the Mirror.

Cape Town - Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hopes that Kylian Mbappe or Alexandre Lacazette will be joining him at the club next season.
