Arsenal are said to have "yet to formally offer him a new deal", with this uncertainty causing Oxlade-Chamberlain to consider his options.

As reported by The Daily Mail, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's contract situation at the Emirates is reaching crisis point and clubs like Liverpool are actively monitoring developments. Arsenal delaying contract talks with the speedster could be a big backfire for the Gunners.

However, the 23-year-old hasn't progressed as many had hoped over the past few years and he's struggled to hold down a regular starting place in Arsene Wenger's side leading to serious question marks over his future.

He can play as both a central midfielder, a winger or more recently as a wing-back, something which interests Antonio Conte.

The player, who has just one year left on his contract, is also understood to be wanted by Liverpool and Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola is a known admirer of Oxlade-Chamberlain and spoke highly of him while at Bayern Munich when his team faced Arsenal.

If the Reds are to move for Chamberlain, a deal would likely be pushed through quickly with Johnathan Northcroft of the Sunday Times claiming that the player wants a new club before the start of the summer pre-season.

Sky Sports believe that the Premier League champions will face competition from Premier League counterparts Manchester City and Liverpool in the race to sign the England global - but Antonio Conte appears keen to draft him into his squad this summer.
