Where could Alvaro Morata go next?

Alvaro Morata may be on the cusp of a move to Manchester United this summer, but he was notably complimentary of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte back in April.

The 24-year-old is reportedly unhappy with his lack of starts under Zinedine Zidane, but the Spain global did not allow the uncertainty over his club future to overshadow his lavish wedding ceremony on Saturday afternoon.

United had been favourites to sign the Spain global, with a £65m deal appearing close to completion last week.

United have already got their first signing through the door in the form of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof, who signed from Benfica for just under £40m.

United have recently become the main protagonists in Cristiano Ronaldo's latest transfer saga, with the Portuguese winger thought to favour a return to Old Trafford over any other move.

It is understood that Conte tried to sign Morata again for Chelsea last summer.

"It seems that the Chelsea option draws strength and that is good news for Real Madrid because in the end are two teams fighting for their player".

The European champions would look to offer both Morata and Keylor Navas to United in exchange for David de Gea, while Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could be part of the demands in a deal with the Premier League champions.

After it was reported that Antonio Conte text Diego Costa earlier this month to inform him that he no longer needed his services heading into next season, speculation has been rife as to who will replace the commanding forward.
