Man Utd's possible XI next season after Cristiano Ronaldo swap deal

Manchester United have Cristiano Ronaldo's "heart", amid talk of a potential return to Old Trafford this summer, according to former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon.

But Ronaldo is keen to return to United and has instructed his representative, fellow Portuguese and super-agent Mendes, to do everything in his power to make it reality.

Spanish radio station Onda Cero report out-going Real Madrid defender Pepe wants Cristiano Ronaldo to join him at PSG.

"The point now is whether he really has chose to leave. There's no turning back", Ronaldo is quoted as saying by Marca.

Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Real Madrid would be an "irreparable loss" according to La Liga president Javier Tebas, who is desperate for the Spanish champions to keep the three-time Ballon d'Or victor.

Forward "real" Cristiano Ronaldo is planning this summer to change the club.

United would not want to pay that for the 32-year-old but keeper David De Gea, 26, could be used as a bargaining tool.

The former boss said after selling him to Real that he believed the player would return to the club one day.

Paper Round's view: Whilst it doesn't seem likely that Conte will just walk away from Chelsea, the board would probably be wise to give him a signing or two in the near future, particularly if United do press ahead and sign Ronaldo.

Ronaldo won three Premier League titles, two League Cups, the FA Cup and the Champions League during a six-season stay at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.

"I hope he hasn't chose to leave but if he has already made his mind up, it will be hard to change the situation".

"He is very strong-minded and when he decides something he goes through with it", Calderon added. I hope so. It would be very bad business to sell him. He will be always playing for a big club and trying to get more titles and more personal awards. "I think our good communication has led to good results".

Ronaldo has helped Real win the UEFA Champions League thrice, scoring twice in last month's final.

"I think it is very hard".

"The same year I had the problem with Robinho and he wanted to leave".
