With Miley Cyrus along for the ride, the pair headed down the elevator at the Rockefeller Centre and into the Subway station below, in full disguise, to do a little clandestine busking.

During The Tonight Show segment, the duo sport cowboy hats, wigs and sunglasses for the stunt.

What an epic, impromptu performance from Miley Cyrus! "No one knows that it's going to happen". Taking a cue from his unforgettable predecessors, including hosts Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, Fallon carrys on the tradition that audiences know and love - kicking off every show with the iconic "Tonight Show" monologue.

Opening their "set" with a cover of Jolene by Dolly Parton, Miley's godmother, it didn't take long for people to start congregating around their performance, and, judging from the size of the crowd, we have a sneaking suspicion that people figured it out pretty quickly.

To make things even funnier, both of them created new identities as Miley was playing Charlene and Fallon was playing Bart. I am Jimmy Fallon. "Thank you very much".

Later in the episode, the "Malibu" singer joined in on a fun installment of "Google Translate Songs", in which she and Fallon sang lyrics to famous songs that had been translated into various other languages and back into English. Next, she led the crowd of onlookers in a rendition of her 2009 hit, "Party in the U.S.A." - now titled, "Party in the Subway".
