The Montreal Alouettes announced Monday that the club has added quarterback Drew Willy to the roster.

The 30-year-old, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 217 pounds, has been signed for one year.

Willy has played five seasons in the CFL, most recently with the Toronto Argonauts. The Argonauts acquired him in a trade last September for a first-round draft choice.

On Monday, the team also announced the additions of defensive back Willy Dorcin to the training squad and the release of receiver Alex Charette.

Willy has 76 games' experience including 37 starts. He has passed for 8,539 yards and 39 touchdowns. He's backed up by Vernon Adams and Jacory Harris.

In other roster news, the Alouettes announced they have added global defensive back Willy Dorcin to their practice roster and released national receiver Alex Charette. The longtime Saskatchewan Roughrider signed with the Als in January.
