Over a six-day stretch, 38 episodes of B-movie riffing comedy "Mystery Science Theater 3000" will live-stream on the Amazon-owned video game broadcasting service. Twitch has become the haven for nostalgia shows to have days-on-end marathons, like Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Cosmos: A Personal Voyage with Carl Sagan, Julia Child's The French Chef, The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross, and Saban's Power Rangers. In other words, you are sort of watching a movie along with them, but the comedic commentary is the real focal point - not the actual film.

Regardless, this collection makes for what Twitch claims is the "most extensive collection of MST3K episodes ever assembled for a marathon". To maintain his sanity, he builds two robot sidekicks, and the trio affectionately mock the awful films in a running commentary.

The series was originally hosted by its creator Joel Hodgson, who left the show in 1993 and was replaced by series head writer Mike Nelson.

Gene Pao, SVP of Digital Media at Shout! Factory explains, "We're thrilled to be bringing some of the very best of pop culture to Twitch with the launch of the Shout!"

Following the success of its previous marathons of classic TV shows, Twitch is set to offer yet another. That's why last Thanksgiving's Turkey Day marathon consisting of a countdown of fan favorites was so fun; we're always excited what they choose! The experience begins on June 26th at 2pm ET.
