[They said] he couldn't play in the league, he couldn't start in the National Basketball Association.

"We were able to get them past year, and they went out and got one of the best players that this league has ever seen", James said.

"It would mean everything".

"To have teammates that encourage you, that lift you up, that's what we all need in life", he said. And the different kind of ceremonies and traditions that have happened around championship-winning teams, we don't want that to taint what we've accomplished this year. It is a business.

If we're going to judge player on rings, this is what you get. I thought we gave the right amount of fight, the right amount of physicality, and they beat us tonight.

Durant said he has "no question" in his mind he will be back with the Warriors. I came in and tried to help my team, be myself.

"I found it at the beginning of the year", Durant said, when asked about his satisfaction in his decision. "It's easier said than done obviously, but that's the goal. From my eyes, they're built to last a few years". In addition, Thompson is signed on for another season as well as Green for another two.

"Not one time did I feel like we were overmatched until probably like I looked up, there was like 1:20 [remaining in the fourth quarter], and we were down 13, I believe, or something at that point", James said. You don't force anybody to have to take that approach, but at the end of the day, we know what's best for us as a group going forward and we're going to do whatever we can to keep this team together.

The team noted they had not even been invited to the White House. "It's a compliment to the 14 guys that allow me to do that and the coaching staff". Boys gotta join forces to see us! "But for us to have these conversations that we had nearly a year ago and now being in this position, worth every shot we took in practice, fighting through injuries that he had this year, and it's an unbelievable feeling".

Curry is an unrestricted free agent this summer and Durant can become one with a player option.

"As far as that team, they're going to be here for a while", Cleveland superstar LeBron James said of the Warriors.

A bona fide starter in this league, Iguodala welcomed a reserve role at 30 years old after a then-rookie head coach Steve Kerr suggested his energy and defensive tenacity would be better served coming from the second unit.
