And despite Google launching the two services at the same time past year, there hasn't been much integration between the two apps. Although Google is not merging Allo and Duo, the company has made a step in the right direction by pushing the two closer and closer together.

However both apps for the most part existed separate of each other and despite launching at the same time, don't seem to have much to do with each other, at least until now.

Google Allo and Google Duo apps were launched separately by Google to make communication easier.

An incoming Allo update will let you start Duo calls right from your chats according to a post from Allo's Head of Product, Amit Fulay. It nearly feels like a no-brainer feature that should have been included from the start, but we guess better late than never.

Google announced both the Allo and Duo apps independently with different functionality.

The new Allo app update now officially brings the Duo integration. Google has introduced this feature about a month ago which is now available for Public via Play Store.

You can update the app by hitting the source link below.

Well, the new feature is ready to use and you must have Duo app installed on your device, in order to use it.

In case your friend or contact doesn't use Google Duo, then they will recieve a notification to install the Duo app. Furthermore, you can also add stickers on your photos that you intend to share with your friends in the Allo chat.
