Austin- $2.05/g, down 4.8 cents per gallon from last week's $2.10/g.

Five states now offer gasoline below $2 a gallon.

Texas, TX, June 26- Average retail gasoline prices in Texas have fallen 4.3 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.06/g yesterday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 13,114 gas outlets in Texas.

Including the change in gas prices in OH during the past week, prices Sunday were 18.1 cents per gallon lower than the same day one year ago and are 12.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.

Nationally, the price dropped 2.6 cents during the past week to an average of $2.25 a gallon.

Previous year at this time, the price of gas in Rhode Island was averaging just about the same, at $2.29 per gallon.

"It's unbelievable", said Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy. Prices rose slightly in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and IL, he said, but only because they had fallen so significantly in recent weeks that stations in those areas were selling under cost. Other than SC, they include Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Tennessee, according to GasBuddy.

In South Carolina, motorists will find the lowest prices in the Greenville-Spartanburg area, where the average price on Monday stood at $1.86 a gallon, according to AAA.

In Paducah, prices can be found for as low as $1.90. If you're traveling south along major corridors, be prepared for prices well over $3 per gallon.
