Pakistan success secret against England

England have been on the receiving end of a number of trolls on social media after their humiliating loss against Pakistan in the first semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy on Wednesday.

Pacer Hasan Ali scalped three wickets for 35 runs while Juniad Khan and debutant Rumman Raees chipped in with two wickets each.

England, who were brilliant in the group stages, wasted a steady start, thanks to Pakistani bowlers, who were right on the coin throughout the match. While Shadab Khan comes in for Faheem Ashraf.

Junaid Khan and Rumman Raees both grabbed two wickets while skipper Sarfaraz was instrumental behind the stumps, taking three catches and getting Mark Wood run out with a direct throw.

England made one change to their squad replacing batsman Jason Roy with Jonny Bairstow.

But after mustering only a meek 211 all out on an awkward surface, they managed to delay Pakistan for a mere 37.1 overs as the tourists instead booked their place at The Oval this weekend - possibly against their great rivals India, who face Bangladesh in the second semi-final at Edgbaston on Thursday.

Pakistan "needs to ensure that they are batting first, I mean 230 against one of the weakest bowling side in the tournament and Pakistan stumbles... and just passed the line", said cricket analyst Harsha Bhogle, quoted Cricbuzz.

Pakistan thrashed England by eight wickets to enter the Champions Trophy finals. Babar Azam helped to get the remainder of the job done in quick time - a process loudly cheered by a sea of green-and-white support.
