Patriots announce first training camp dates open to public

Summer is barely hours old, but already, football fans have a reason to be looking forward to the fall.

We're just five weeks away from Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Brandin Cooks and the rest of the New England Patriots kicking off training camp.

The first public practice is scheduled the morning of Thursday, July 27 on the practice fields behind Gillette Stadium. It will begin around 9 a.m. This is free and open to the public. Daily camp schedules can also be heard by dialing the camp hotline at 508-549-0001. Admission and parking are free.

On Saturday, July 29, the Patriots will induct defensive back Raymond Clayborn into their Hall of Fame.

Highlighting training camp will be the joint practices between the Patriots and the Jaguars on August 7 and August 8.

The Patriots will host the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 7 and 8 ahead of their preseason opener at Gillette on August 10. New England has agreed to practice with a pair of teams for joint practices ahead of their preseason matchups.
