Pence mocked "the liberal left" for condemning President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of the historic Paris Agreement, an worldwide pact that aims to curb global warming by reducing carbon emissions. Climate change is a crisis that almost every country on the planet agreed to address together.

On behalf of President Trump, Vice President Mike Pence will give the Keynote Address at the Conference on Prosperity and Security in Central America to be held in Miami, Florida, on June 15.

Among those who called on Trump to remain was Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who in his previous job as CEO of ExxonMobil embraced calls to combat climate change.

During an interview that aired on Fox & Friends on Friday, Pence said climate change had become a "paramount issue for the left in this country and around the world".

Looking past the curious redundancy of Pence's phrasing, the more "the liberal left" has learned about the issue, the more most progressives have made a serious effort to "advance a climate change agenda".

Environmental activists, major corporations and world leaders were outraged when Trump announced on Thursday that the us would withdraw from the historic accord. They predicted that further human activity - specifically the release of greenhouse gases - could cause temperatures to rise another 2 degrees Celsius by the end of 2100.

In an interview Friday on Fox & Friends, Vice President Mike Pence seemed baffled why "the left" is so anxious about global warming. Instead of playing politics with climate change, Pence would do well to recognize that neither the Earth nor the environment care about what political party you belong to.
