Russian Federation had no hand in poll-influencing hacking, says President Vladimir Putin

The Russian president also accused the USA and its allies of seeking to monopolize power and prevent the emergence of a multi-polar world by countering his country's efforts to assert itself on the global stage.

Acknowledging the importance of developing economic cooperation at the regional level, India and Russian Federation on Thursday said they will take steps to facilitate an early commencement of negotiations on a free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and India.

The Russian president also refused to give advice on dealing with bureaucracy to his counterpart, saying that "a man like Mr. Trump doesn't need any advice, especially on domestic political issues".

He concluded by saying that "my wish is to forge a constructive dialogue underpinned by national interests", and "I believe it's possible with the current US president".

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he is not "friends" with Donald Trump, as they are not even acquainted, adding that he only hopes to build a constructive working and personal relationship with his U.S. counterpart.

Speaking at Thursday's meeting with senior editors of leading global news agencies, Putin said the current atmosphere "makes it somewhat inconvenient to work with one another or even to talk, but some day this will have to stop".

But it said the former leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party had "raised the interest" of FBI investigators because of his relationships with individuals connected to both the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

Putin predicted "this will end, sooner or later", adding that "we are patient, we know how to wait and we will wait".

The island group, called the Northern Territories in Japan and the Southern Kurils in Russian Federation, is quite a convenient location for Russian Federation to carry out a military deployment against the USA threats, he noted.
