Teen accused of shooting MI men in TN surrenders

"Two of the three victims had arrived in Knoxville from MI yesterday to conduct the drug deal", the Knoxville Police Department said on Facebook.

Another teen, 17-year-old Deon Nolbert, was arrested Thursday night and charged with the same counts filed against Cook, police said.

On Thursday, at approximately 1:25 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in progress on Joe Lewis Road.

Knoxville police identified the victims as Sergio Rivera and Jaloen Morris, both of Decatur, Michigan.

The incident remains under investigation by the Knoxville Police Department.

The third person shot was Damien Lee, 16, of Knoxville.

When officers arrived, they found three men who had been shot multiple times.

One of them died while being treated.

Another teenage suspect, Deon Nolbert, 17, was arrested and charged last night with two counts of murder and attempted murder. he's being held in the Richard L. Bean Juvenile Detention Facility.

Police said Cook was wanted for murder, attempted murder and aggravated robbery. They consider him to be armed and extremely unsafe.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911 immediately. One man was found dead in the vehicle, the other two were down in the parking lot. The two remaining victims were transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. The remaining victim is still recovering from non-life threatening injuries.
