The Golden State Warriors looked in a majestic form throughout the NBA Playoffs, and beat Cleveland Cavaliers 4-1 to win their second title in three years.

"There were 55 second left and I realized, 'We're going to win!' " Durant said.

When Kevin Durant revealed that his "next chapter" would be with the Golden State Warriors, the entire National Basketball Association knew what it meant.

The title marks the Warriors' second in three years, and potentially, the beginning of a dynasty.

"It was unbelievable. The energy in this building from the time we stepped foot on the floor was on 12 out of 10".

"The way that he embraced the opportunity in the Finals, it was unbelievable", Curry said.

"I hear all the narratives throughout the season that I was joining, I was hopping on bandwagons, I was letting everybody else do the work", Durant said.

"We were able to get them past year, and they went out and got one of the best players that this league has ever seen", James said. "This is something we want to continue to do".

Cleveland has now lost two of the three showdowns in this Finals trilogy. Every single day demanding more out of himself, demanding more out of us, the true testament of a consummate professional. "Getting here isn't enough, especially once you've been here already multiple times". "I feel like we've grown from that".

He stole a title last season, but this year he was only able to prevent the sweep in Game 4.

"It's hard to compare to what that feeling was the first time, but it's pretty darn close", Curry said.

The Warriors won in 2015 before Cleveland made its historic comeback a year ago. "And we're going to do it again".

Kevin Durant, who was named Finals MVP, had 39 points, seven rebounds and five assists, becoming the first player with 5 straight 30-point games in NBA Finals since Shaquille O'Neal in 2000. "But like I told everybody, if Kevin Durant was the consolation prize to lose, thanks for that loss and we champs this year". I came in and tried to help my team. "When he turned that corner, we became nearly unbeatable".

But each time, the Warriors recovered - led by Durant's clutch shooting.

"He has had an unbelievable career, but he took it to the next level".

Okay, this done, another story wrapping up the final to do, the long San Francisco-Minneapolis-Toronto travel day ahead and then a wrap on this season. "Five games didn't do it justice, just for how competitive it was", Kerr said. "I'm so happy Kevin has broken through and there's more to come from him".

There has never been a more talented team than these Warriors, who went 16-1 in the playoffs and blew out the Cavaliers twice before being seriously challenged in the Finals.

"I can't believe it, but I have to", Durant said recently of where he is after a decade. "It's a championship. It's a great feeling". If you give all your effort and all the fight and all the heart you got, it doesn't necessarily mean you're going to win, and that's what's tough about sports. "And you can't describe it". And Bron's been in this league for a while now, and he's seen every which way from on the court, to off the court, to dealing with some of you guys, to dealing with the whole world of just choosing a side.
