Warriors fan faxes hilarious strategy to win Game 5 vs. Cavs

Though the Cavs would ride the momentum of their historic Game 4 performance in which they scored an NBA Finals-record 49 points in the first quarter, the Warriors would feed off the energy of their home fans in a critical closeout game. Bad calls have gone in favor of and against Golden State all season, and while the Tim Donaghy debacle did transpire, I do not believe his actions are representative of the greater collection of referees.

"We got to find our edge and respond", Warriors guard Stephen Curry said.

It was also a tip of the hat to their defence. "Different team. They're a different team, also". He got aggressive early and didn't let up. Pachulia has secured the opening possession for the Warriors three out of four times in these finals. When asked about Durant's move to Golden State, James said he could "see both sides", before adding that he wouldn't give his full opinion on the matter. By the final break, the lead was down to five.

If LeBron can keep this pace up alongside Kyrie Irving for the rest of the game, the Cavaliers will have a serious chance for a comeback from their previous 3-0 series deficit.

Last year, the Warriors closed as 5.5-point home chalk in Game 5 and fell 112-97 to the Cavaliers, the first of three consecutive losses after they took a 3-1 series lead. Coverage begins at 5:00pm with a 6:00pm scheduled tip-off. Despite battling injuries, Curry wasn't the impact player Golden State needed to close out the series, and eventually they lost to James and the Cavs, who won their first National Basketball Association title for Cleveland.

For his career, Irving has been incredible in elimination games.

The Cavs weren't particularly good from the line but the 14 they did make were a big part of the Finals record first quarter they put together. They were helped along their way by a heap of fouls in the first half, shooting 20 free throws by the main break.

The Warriors dominated their two previous home games in the series, winning 113-91 and 132-113. Cleveland's bench has just four points. They were happy to play the game at the Warriors pace, and they beat them at their own game.

Regardless of what the refs do, it's clear this game will be extremely hard fought.

It needs to be noted though, that with the exception of Kevin Durant the Warriors quiet.

What the Warriors will need to be wary of is their turnover ratio.

Cavs head coach Ty Lue has been rather vanilla to this point in the NBA Finals.

In Game 3 - a night that Clevelanders, thanks to the aforementioned cold-blooded Durant trey, will file right next to The Shot, The Fumble, and The Decision - the Warriors allowed a paltry 19 points in the fourth quarter after getting smoked for 32, 29, and 33 in the first three.

The 2017 NBA Finals have been, in a word, weird.
