Bolton Wanderers set to sign Newcastle United striker

There are four who look to be definitely ruled out for next season, with Krul, Riviere and Lazaar not travelling as Newcastle are surely trying to move them on.

Boro could need the youngsters infleunce to secure promotion following last season's relegation to the Championship.

The 29-year-old looks nearly certain to be moved on again over the coming weeks having also missed Newcastle's opening pre-season friendly against Hearts on Friday night.

However, these multi-million pound deals look set to continue, with Newcastle United preparing a £10m bid for Liverpool's Sheyi Ojo.

Ojo made a pair of FA Cup appearances for Liverpool last season and had been expected to build on those next term.

Armstrong has scored 26 career goals in 96 games, with his most prolific spell being a stint in League One with Coventry City in the 2015/2016 season. New reports from the Bolton News suggest he will link up with Sammy Ameobi at Bolton Wanderers.

"Adam Armstrong has also stayed in Newcastle, with a number of clubs interested in taking the England under-20 worldwide on loan", Newcastle confirmed via their official website.

An indication possibly of a couple of young inexperienced players maybe seen as having a chance of progressing - Callum Roberts and Victor Fernandez also on the plane earlier today.

Centre-back Chancel Mbemba has also not accompanied his teammates to Carton House, although that is apparently due to a "visa technicality" rather than anything transfer releated.
