Pirates pitcher Chad Kuhl ran over Brewers catcher Stephen Vogt in a play at the plate Monday night, knocking the catcher from the game.

The Brewers announced that Vogt was being evaluated for a left knee strain and a neck strain. (Vogt held onto the ball, and Kuhl was called out.) After a scary few moments being attended to by trainers, Vogt was able to get to his feet with some assistance and to walk off the field under his own power. Francisco Cervelli added two hits for the Pirates, who pulled within six games of the first-place Brewers.

Daniel Hudson (2-4) picked up the win in relief of Kuhl when Polanco nailed Manny Pina at the plate in the sixth to preserve a tie. Felipe Rivero retired the last four batters for his seventh save.
