- Three people are in custody and a fourth remains on the loose after a man was shot and killed in Gastonia Monday morning.

The shooting happened just after midnight at the corner of Craig Avenue and Thomas Street, off East Franklin Boulevard. They say the victim, 20-year-old Richard Nathaniel Abernathy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Channel 9 watched as police on the scene searched the white vehicle for evidence.

If anyone knows Goodwin's whereabouts, they are asked to call Gastonia Police Department or Crime Stoppers.

This shooting comes after two other shootings over the weekend. Police said it was "teen night" at the club.

One person suffered minor injuries in that shooting.

Police believe two shootings in a North Carolina city are related.
