Jeremy Lin To Brooklyn Nets Haters: 'We're Making The Playoffs'

The 2017-2018 season will mark the 6th season the Nets have been in Brooklyn, and although they've been in the playoffs for three of those years - No one actually takes the team too serious when it comes to being competitive.

The team lost a league-worst 20 games last year, and then followed that up with trading away last year's top scorer, Brook Lopez, for point guard D'Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov.

"We're making the playoffs", Lin said in an Instagram Live video during a visit to Taiwan. "I don't care what anybody else tell me", Lin proclaimed while answering questions from Nets fans over the weekend. And with Caris LeVert and Isaiah Whitehead expected to make strides after promising rookie seasons, the Nets have some reason for optimism.

The Eastern Conference should be as weak as it's been in a long time after many stars went to Western Conference teams via trades or the free-agent market over the offseason. Lin doesn't envision any issues, however. "I'm pretty sure he would start at the 2", Lin noted. "It will probably be a little bit combo guard-esque, kind of like me and Kemba [Walker]".
