Jeremy Ruckert, the nation's No. 1 tight end, announced via a Blecher Report video Monday afternoon that he'll be playing college football at Ohio State.

Jeremy Ruckert, a four-star prospect and No. 1 tight end in the 247Sports composite ratings, announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Monday.

Ruckert also had offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Penn State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia Tech, UCLA and many other Power Five schools.

MI has 10 commitments in its 2018 recruiting class but has not yet landed a tight end or receiver.

Ruckert has always been considered one of the nation's best at his position and was Ohio State's top TE target throughout the recruiting process, but he has sprung even higher in the rankings in recent months.

It's possible Ohio State could add another tight end to pair with Ruckert in this cycle.
