Singer Justin Bieber was stopped by a police officer and was fined for using his cell phone while driving a vehicle.

Justin Bieber has had run-ins with law enforcement in the past too.

The Sorry singer was behind the wheel of a Mercedes G-Wagon in Beverly Hills when he was stopped by Los Angeles Police Department after being spotted on the device.

The outlet reports that Justin was "calm and cooperative" throughout the stop, accepting his ticket and leaving without a scene.

It isn't clear if he was calling or texting at the time.

According to TMZ, that's the average price of a ticket for being on your mobile phone while driving in California.

The result is that the singer, who has been very co-operative, has been sentenced to a fine fine of 162 million and was able to leave quietly after having been called to order.

In January 2014, he was arrested in Miami Beach and charged with DUI and resisting arrest after cops saw him speeding down a residential street in a yellow Lamborghini.

It's not the first time the "Love Yourself" hitmaker has shared an old mugshot on the photo sharing app either, as in April he shared another snap from his 2014 arrest alongside a more recent picture. Later that year the singer was arrested again and this time charged with risky driving and assault, after a collision between a minivan and an ATV near his hometown of Stratford, Ontario.
