The device has the innovative Edge Sense technology, best-rated camera on any smartphone, and high-end hardware.

It's no longer up for debate - the "squeezable" U11 marks an unconventional return to form for tech media darling HTC, ironically occurring mere months after the universally panned U Ultra release.

- HTC Sense Companion and Google Assistant for a smarter, more helpful smart phone. To recall, the flagship device from HTC, HTC U11 was codenamed Ocean and this one is called Ocean Life. The battery is smaller at 2600mAh when compared to the 3000mAh unit on the 5.5-inch U11, but the smaller screen size and the Full HD panel should balance things out.

The HTC U11 was the first smartphone to introduce an interactive frame which users can squeeze in order to trigger certain (pre-configured) actions. On the camera front, there will be a 16-megapixel rear and front cameras. Under the hood, the phone will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, with an octa-core CPU, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity option along with Wi-Fi, GPS, and NFC. The device will run the HTC Sense 9.0 UI on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. By layering highly refractive precious minerals across the phone's back cover, the new phone features vivid new colours that transform light with every movement you make. Interestingly, it looks like HTC will bundle its USonic earphones with the device. The phone will also feature a fingerprint scanner and glass body at the back, same as the U11.
