Manchester United plotting £60m ultimatum offer for Tottenham midfielder Eric Dier

Manchester United are ready to make a "final huge take it or leave it" offer for Eric Dier.

Jose Mourinho recently admitted that he wants to sign two more players in this transfer window, and there are strong suggestions that Eric Dier of Spurs is one of them.

Tottenham are reluctant to part with the England global however, and have rebuffed any interest up to this point.

Although Mourinho re-signed the Serbian for Chelsea during his last stint as manager at Stamford Bridge, it now seems the 28-year-old is more likely to move to Italy with claims made over the weekend that Juventus and Internazionale are vying for his signature.

Despite securing the services of defender Victor Lindelof and striker Romelu Lukaku, United have struggled in their pursuits of various midfielders, with Tottenham holding firm over Dier and Borussia Dortmund and Monaco holding off interest for Julian Weigl and Fabinho respectively.

Having already sold Kyle Walker for £50m to Manchester City, Mauricio Pochettino, and chairman Daniel Levy, aren't prepared to lose another defensive player without finding a replacement.
