As per Sport, following on from signing a new contract with Barca last October, he is tied up until 2021.

But the Brazil global has still been the subject of transfer speculation in recent months.

As a result, talk has been rife that Neymar could quit the Nou Camp.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Barcelona technical secretary Robert Fernandez played down the likelihood of another club paying Neymar's hefty release clause.

Neymar has won everything possible with Barcelona but the question is whether he can win the Ballon d'Or when he plays for the same club as Leo Messi.

And he apparently believes he may have to free himself of Lionel Messi's shadow to have any chance of scooping football's top individual prize.

And Sport suggest they along with Manchester City, Paris St-Germain and even Real Madrid could be encouraged to pursue a big-money raid.

The media is alive, in Spain, this afternoon with the inference that Neymar may leave Barcelona.

PSG looks like Neymar's most likely destination despite interest from United, with the forward hoping to use Barca's desire to sign Marco Verratti to seal a move.

All of those teams are said to be looking to bring in famous faces to maximise their exposure on the worldwide stage.

Meanwhile, United manager Jose Mourinho tried to convince him at the end of 2016-17 to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford, per Sport's report.

This comes after Neymar refused to rule out a Nou Camp exit earlier this month. "I'm very happy now, but nobody knows [about tomorrow]".
