Micromax Canvas 1 with Android 7.0 launched in India for Rs. 6999

Priced at Rs 6,999, the smartphone is 4G VoLTE compliant and runs the latest Android Nougat. The smartphone will be competing against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Moto E4. Canvas has been Micromax's leading lineup and only recently the company had released Canvas 2.

The smartphone is now available at retail stores.

It is also the first smartphone to come with a 100-day replacement promise on any hardware issue (which is a part of the 1-year product warranty), the statement added. Similar to how the Yu Yureka Black was made available, there are variants with Chrome Black and Matte Black finish on the back. If the eligible devices require a hardware fix, the faulty feature phones will be replaced with the same or an equivalent model by the company. It comes with slim bezels on the edges and front comes with the selfie camera module, the earpiece grille, and the display.

Micromax Canvas 1 Specifications: The Micromax Canvas 1 sports a 5-inches HD (1280 x 720 pixels) in-cell IPS display with 400 nits brightness and is powered by the MediaTek MT6737 SoC clocked at 1.3GHz Quad-core 64-bit Processor with Mali T720 MP1 GPU. It receives support in the form of 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. The rear houses the horizontal camera setup with flash. On the front of the device, there is a 5-megapixel camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens and an LED flash for capturing bright selfies even in low light conditions.

This is Dual SIM phone and runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) OS.

The connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS and also has other sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, pedometer, and magnetometer. There is also a 2500 mAh battery to power the device. According to the company, the battery provides 180 hours standby time and 7 hours talktime.
