His impressive performances have attracted interest from La Liga giants Barcelona but PSG have also made their intrigue in the Brazil worldwide known, with Telefoot via Get French Football News claiming an enquiry has been made.

It also understood that Barcelona are keen on the attacking midfielder, who is widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted footballers now playing in the Premier League.

Coutinho was one of Liverpool's best players during the 2016-17 season, scoring 13 goals and adding seven assists in 31 Premier League appearances as the Reds finished fourth and qualified for the Champions League.

Ever since he arrived from Inter Milan in 2013, the 23-times Brazil worldwide has played 181 times for Liverpool, netting 42 goals.

Despite Coutinho signing a new five-year deal at Anfield in January and Liverpool remaining adamant that he will be going nowhere, reports continue to link the 25-year-old to a move elsewhere. If the Reds do receive a bid of £87million, that would probably give them enough funds to replace Coutinho, but their recruitment record in recent years has been sketchy.

Then again, PSG have been reputed not to be a selling club, and they have repeatedly stated to Verratti that they want to keep him. He probably won't be in a title race with Liverpool next season, but he will with PSG or Barca.
