Saif Ali Khan to star in Netflix's first Indian series 'Sacred Games'

Saif Ali Khan arrives for IIFA Rocks, July 14, at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, during the 18th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Festival.

Undoubtedly, web series are the next big thing and Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has chose to explore the digital space with Netflix's original series - "Sacred Games", thus becoming the first commercial Indian star to feature in Netflix original. The Mumbai based series that would revolve around politics, controversies, gang war and the role of a police officer in the entire scenario "Sartaj Singh" whose character in the Sacred Games would be portrayed and justified by none other than Saif Ali Khan.

With no such confirmation as to when the entire series shall be released live on the internet, the series is being produced in collaboration with B-town giants like Anurag Kashyap, Madhu, Vikramaditya Motwane and Vikas Bahl who would all co-produce the series.

Speaking about the series Saif said, "Content In the digital space is taking over the existing dynamics at a rapid pace - the crown in the digital empire lies with Netflix, and it's extremely satisfying to partner and participate in the first original series from India to be showcased on Netflix".

"His role is layered and complex, and we are thrilled to be working with such a fantastic actor to bring this story to a global audience".
