Active investors may choose to use this technical indicator as a stock evaluation tool. Following the direction estimates are trending may provide a deeper glimpse into the health of a company. Wilder has developed multiple indicators that are still quite popular in today's investing landscape. The general interpretation of the ATR is the higher the ATR value, the higher the volatility.

IShares MSCI Japan GBP Hedged UCITS ETF (IJPH.L)'s Williams Percent Range or 14 day Williams %R now sits at -35.14. The 14-day ADX is presently 25.22. The Williams %R fluctuates between 0 and -100 measuring whether a security is overbought or oversold. The Williams %R is similar to the Stochastic Oscillator except it is plotted upside-down. A reading between 0 and -20 would point to an overbought situation. A reading from -80 to -100 would indicate an oversold situation. This chart is used to project 1 bar forward (one day). The Average Directional Index or ADX is a technical analysis indicator used to describe if a market is trending or not trending. The ADX alone measures trend strength but not direction. The ADX was created by J. Welles Wilder to help determine how strong a trend is. Many traders will use the ADX alongside other indicators in order to help spot proper trading entry/exit points. Taking a glance at the relative strength indictor, we note that the 14-day RSI is now at 59.84, the 7-day stands at 72.47, and the 3-day is sitting at 89.04. When the price is below the Balance Step, this generally spells a bearish trend. Many chart analysts believe that an ADX reading over 25 would suggest a strong trend. Exchange traded funds (ETFs) trade just like stocks, but instead of "shares" investors are actually buying and selling "units".

WisdomTree Japan Equity UCITS ETF USD Hedged (DXJZ.L) now has a 14-day Commodity Channel Index (CCI) of 77.78. Despite the name, CCI can be used on other investment tools such as stocks. Typically, the CCI oscillates above and below a zero line. A CCI reading above +100 would imply that the stock is overbought and possibly ready for a correction.

Traders are paying renewed attention to shares of Resverlogix Corp (RVX.TO). After a recent check, the 14-day RSI for WisdomTree Europe Equity UCITS ETF - USD Hedged is now at 46.82, the 7-day stands at 41.01, and the 3-day is sitting at 42.56. In terms of Relative Strength Index, the 14-day RSI is now sitting at 82.30, the 7-day is 90.06, and the 3-day is spotted at 96.59. The RSI oscillates on a scale from 0 to 100. The ATR is not considered a directional indicator, but it may reflect the strength of a particular move. The opposite is the case when the RSI line is heading lower. Different time periods may be used when using the RSI indicator. The RSI may be more volatile using a shorter period of time. Many investors will keep a close eye on stocks that are trading near popular marks such as the 52-week high. In general, if the indicator goes above -20, the stock may be considered overbought.

Investors may be looking for the next positive catalyst to create a solid breakout. Some may be wondering when the party will end, and it remains to be seen if excess and profit-taking rotation may create any pullbacks in the upcoming quarter. Investors may have to make a decision whether to ease-up or stay aggressive. Investors will also be watching the next wave of economic data to get a better sense of how the overall economy is fairing.
