It was originally reported he could face jail time over the incident, but he has now cut a plea deal to escape prison. Mensa faced two separate charges of carrying a concealed firearm and carrying an unregistered loaded firearm.

The D.A.'s office tells TMZ the Roc Nation rapper will get 2 years probation after pleading no contest to carrying a concealed firearm in his auto.

This is good news for Mensa, who recently released a new album, "The Autobiography", with the blessings of Roc Nation boss Jay-Z at well-publicized listening party in LA. During the stop, he informed officers that he was carrying a gun, but the permit papers he produced for the firearm were for another state. The alternative to said payment is spending two days in jail, so it's hard to see why he wouldn't choose payment.
