Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad told PCB to boycott India at ICC events.

He said, 'This is the time when we should answer the brick with stones.

Shaharyar, a career diplomat who remained High Commissioner in India, said in his last tenure (2003-2006) he had managed to restore bilateral ties with India in 2004 and the visit of the Indian team to Pakistan was a massive success for cricket.

"When India came to Pakistan in 2004 after 14 years it was an occasion to celebrate as we hosted Indian visitors and their players were also friendly and happy".

"I think when we don't play India in ICC events and the ICC suffers financial losses and their events lose significance and colour, only than we will be treated with respect and we will be heard on a equal level at any forum", he added.

"In my last tenure we had three bilateral series with India and it was a big source of satisfaction for me", he said.

Miandad feels that the other cricketing nations have not acknowledged the injustice done to Pakistan cricket by India and boycotting India will make the worldwide community realize that injustice was being done to Pakistan.

But India and Pakistan continued to play in ICC events, with the most recent coming at the 2016 ICC T20 World Cup. Take a stance and see what will happen.

The former captain felt the PCB was only going to waste valuable money by taking its compensation claim to the ICC disputes resolution committee.

"The same money, 100 crores rupees or more, can be pumped into our cricket infrastructure because no one will listen to us as India is very influential and strong in the ICC level".

"I did my best this time too and also faced a lot of criticism for it as critics termed it "begging". When we went there in 1999 and I was the manager and there were threats and all but in the end everything panned out well", he said.

"We called it a good gesture but they took advantage of it and earned millions and in return we got nothing".
