Kyrie Irving is certainly having an interesting summer, but that hasn't stopped him from working on his shoe game.

Irving reportedly has requested to be traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers, as the four-time All-Star allegedly is exhausted of playing in LeBron James' shadow. "But they also have Jerry West and he's been able to figure out before ... the Lakers didn't have the assets to get Shaq and he wheeled and dealed and figured out and they got him ... he was able to get Kobe for Divac in the draft". "He's been inside that locker room".

Vecsey said around the around one-hour-and-13-minute mark of the podcast that he has been told the Cavaliers point guard would like to play for the Los AnIgeles Clippers.

"Phoenix, of course, hired James Jones this offseason", McMenamin said.

The latest National Basketball Association trade rumors come weeks after it was made public knowledge that Kyrie Irving had asked the Cavaliers to trade him.

In case you are interested in listening, here is the full HoopsHype podcast, the Irving-Clippers discussion starts around 1:13:23.

"He reports, "In between the first round when they beat In and the second round when they played Toronto - go consecutive days without speaking to a teammate at practice".

One of the teams that came up as a strong potential trade destination for Irving was the Phoenix Suns since they do have the assets to offer the Cavaliers.

Irving does not have a no-trade clause, so he has limited leverage in determining where he ends up if he leaves Cleveland. Irving apparently has planned ahead, as well, as he reportedly has a list of four teams he'd prefer to be traded to: the New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs, Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat.
