Destiny 2 is set to launch on September 6, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release scheduled for October 24, 2017.

The newest issue of Edge Magazine included a spread on Destiny 2, coming with some juicy new information on the game's content.

There are over eighty missions and PvE activities to enjoy, and each is substantial in length, challenge, story and reward.

If all of this content may seem like a bit much at first glance, you're in the same situation that the developers were when they added all of this content at first.

There's apparently so much content, at one point in development players were reaching the end of the character progression at around the 55-hour mark, and there was still more PVE stuff left to experience. When used against these AI enemies who have elemental shields, an explosion will actually occur when the shield is depleted, blasting any additional enemies that happen to be nearby. With this being the case, Guardians will now have to conjure up some efficient strategies and be diligent about seeing them through in successful manner.

Players won't be able to take their time too much during Nightfall Strikes, since there will be a time limit (an example for one strike is 13 minutes).

Several other details were discussed that were unable to be reported after Edge Magazine was asked to keep them on the down low, but the majority of the discussions in the article seemed to paint a positive picture for Destiny 2.
