"The club made me aware of it as soon as it happened and they informed me that they weren't going to sell me", the Northern Ireland global told Sky Sports News.

West Brom skipper Jonny Evans has insisted that he remains committed to the Baggies after the Premier League side rejected two offers from Leicester City. "That was the position that was", said Evans, according to the Birmingham Mail. "I've been made club captain here this season, so unless the club turn round and say they want to sell me, nothing's changed from the last two seasons".

"Yeah, totally", he added, when asked if he was happy to stay.

Reports claimed he was the subject of a couple of bids from the Foxes earlier in the summer transfer window but Tony Pulis was determined to keep hold of the Northern Ireland global defender.

Although he has four players who can play centre-back at his disposal, Gareth McAuley is now returning from a thigh injury, and he prefers to play Craig Dawson at right-back.
