With the bank holiday weekend just around the corner, everyone is preying for a rain-free weekend - but what is the forecast for Lincolnshire?

After a wet, cool August, most parts of the United Kingdom are being treated to sunshine and warmer temperatures during the long weekend.

The week's forecast is looking promising overall with most days showing as dry but cloudy and temperatures gradually climbing up to Bank Holiday Monday.

Met Office forecaster Greg Dewhurst said revellers heading to Notting Hill Carnival should see summery conditions.

Bank Holiday Monday looks set to be the hottest day for the southern half of the United Kingdom, with some milder temperatures in the North at around 18C.

And that wet weather will move south from Tuesday, bringing a fresher feel, forecasters predict.
